Mr. Saeed Ahmed Aeri is a seasoned internal auditor with extensive experience in financial reporting, risk assessment, and internal controls. He holds a master’s degree in economics from 2015 and is a Chartered Accountancy (Finalist) candidate, having completed all but the final three papers of the qualification. Additionally, he is Certified in Accounts and Finance, having earned the certification in 2014.

Mr. Aeri’s professional background encompasses several reputable audit firms, including Kreston Hyder Bhimji & Co. Chartered Accountants, EY Ford Rhodes & Co. Chartered Accountants (where he served as a Senior Tax Executive), and A.F. Ferguson & Co. Chartered Accountants (a member firm of the PWC Network). During his tenure with these firms, he demonstrated his expertise in leading audit teams, delegating tasks effectively, and performing statutory external audits in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), and local laws.

Mr. Aeri’s responsibilities extended to finalizing audit client engagements with the involvement of engagement supervisors, managers, and partners. He meticulously prepared audit reports adhering to auditing standards and local laws. Furthermore, he conducted thorough risk assessments, maintaining close communication with client top management and audit committees. Additionally, he skillfully evaluated internal controls, identified control deficiencies, and provided appropriate support.

Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Aeri demonstrated his versatility by preparing financial statements, management letters, and financial budgets. His dedication to the profession is further evident in his continued association with the BASIC Development Foundation as a part-time member.
