Ms. Reema Maznani is a seasoned social mobilizer with a decade-long commitment to empowering women in rural Pakistan. She has been an integral part of BASIC Development Foundation (BDF) since joining the organization in January 2014, where she has played a pivotal role in advancing gender mainstreaming and women entrepreneurship initiatives.
Ms. Maznani’s expertise lies in facilitating and supporting women cooperatives, encouraging community engagement, and advocating for women’s rights. She currently oversees three women cooperatives in the villages of District Dadu, providing them with the necessary resources, training, and support to increase. Under her facilitation, these cooperatives have grown in strength and empowered women to become active economic participants in their communities.
Beyond her work with cooperatives, Ms. Maznani is also responsible for managing all women-related interventions at BDF. Her leadership has been instrumental in implementing various programs that promote women’s social, economic, and political empowerment. She is a passionate advocate for gender equality and works tirelessly to break down barriers that hinder women’s progress.
