Return / Refund Policy (Donations)

BASIC Development Foundation (BDF) is a non-profit organization. All payments made through this website are donations, not purchases of goods or services. This policy explains when and how we may consider refund requests for donations.

1. Nature of Donations

Donations are voluntary contributions to support BDF’s charitable programs. Once a donation is completed, the funds are typically committed to program and operational use. We do not offer refunds as a matter of course.

2. When We May Consider a Refund

We may consider a refund request only in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate donation: The same donation was charged more than once by error.
  • Technical or processing error: The donation was processed incorrectly (e.g. wrong amount due to a system error).
  • Unauthorized use: The donation was made using your payment method without your authorization (you may need to provide a police report or other evidence).

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to decline requests that do not fall within the above criteria or where we cannot verify the claim.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us within a reasonable time (we recommend within 30 days of the transaction) at correspondence@basicdf.org with:

  • Your full name and email/phone used at the time of donation
  • Date and amount of the donation
  • Transaction reference or receipt number if available
  • Brief reason for the refund request

We will respond to your request and, if approved, process the refund through the same payment method used for the donation, where possible, or by an alternative method agreed with you. Refunds may take several business days to appear in your account.

4. Payment Gateway

Donations are processed through a licensed payment gateway. Any chargebacks or disputes raised with your bank or card issuer may be contested by BDF with supporting documentation. We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve the matter directly.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Return/Refund Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
